As an artist, I put my whole existence to create paintings that speak both to me and to others, about the beauty surrounding us.
I think of each one of my creations as a hymn to beauty.
My motivation stems from my admiration for beauty, and the quest to capture on canvas, the effect it has on the human soul.
I know I am contributing to the world, when I see that my paintings bring profound joy to the viewer, a sound appreciation of beauty, and real hope that our world can become better, more loving, more peaceful, more colorful.
Most of the times, I depict a very close up view of my theme, so the beauty is magnified, which gives me the ability to intensify life within my composition.
I use oils. Their plasticity gives me the flexibility to play with the light, and the variations of colors. Also, oils allow me to create translucent effects.
Before I begin a series of paintings, I study the subject scientifically, explore every detail, and contemplate the light and its effects on the colors.
I paint in classical realistic style directly with the brush and colors.
Occasionally, I venture in impressionism and other styles.
My art is an explosion of colors and textures, expressed three-dimensionally.
Each one of my creations is a live entity, meant to interact with the surroundings like a family member, or a dear friend.
